So, I must apologize - it has been awhile since I have blogged. I have had a lot of stuff running around in my head, and for those of you who know me, you know that I am often not too eloquent:). So I will stick to simple things today - a king sized bed. Before we were married, I told Eric that I wanted a king sized bed. We decided (after much discussion and tears on my part:) that we really did not need a bed that large, and we opted for a queen size. Now, do not get me wrong - I love my bed. Bed time is my favorite time of day, and other than being in a large jacuzzi tub (which I do not have:( ), my favorite place in my house in usually my bed. For cuddling, nursing, reading, watching tv (yes, I know that I should not have a tv in my bedroom:), etc. And there is nothing better then saturday mornings at 7am when my monkeys climb in bed with me, all warm and snuggly from sleep and we watch cartoons (I love saturdays - when I do not work:). BUT - we do not all fit in our bed (our queen sized bed). Right now, Saturday mornings sound something like this - "He touched me!! I am falling off, she is sitting on my hand, I cannot see the tv! I am falling off, move over, I am falling off.....boom. You get the picture:)
I will not say "I told you so, honey", but.....
We are adding to our family, and I know that if 5 will not fit, 6 will definitely not. So....what to do?

Oh...we love our king size bed and all 6 of us fit in it. =)
We desperately needed a new mattress last year, and got an amazing deal on a king size, after my husband convinced me it would fit just fine in our room...which it does. I am so glad. Especially since we are huge suckers & let two large hounds sleep with us.
we said a while ago that matt's graduation present to ourselves is going to be a king sized bed :-)
Oh, I dream of one, too! :) We need to find a good deal somewhere. I know we can go to a store and tell the salespeople that if they give us a good deal--2 of us will be buying a bed at the same time. Win-win! ;)
I'd love a king size too! Count me in on the group discount! :) Thanks for your comment on my post, Becca. We live an hour north of Philly so NYC is an hour and a half north of us so you're 3 hours north of us. I'd love to get together though with everyone on this same journey that lives in the remote vicinity!?
Kristin - maybe we could meet sometime in the city for an ethiopian meal!!!!
We started with a full size- out of necessity at that moment.....and later saved up for a king size- and we LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course with 8 children there is still a bit of that- she touched me- i'm faling off thing going on.
I love our king sized bed. Some days with 4 kids I still feel like it's not big enough! :) It's so worth it!
aren't those t-shirts soooo soft?! i love mine! we all just have great taste :-)
jenny - so sort - I am going to use it as a running shirt! Can't wait to hear from new number this week - are you in the teens!!!?
Ahh...I would love to have a king size bed! Especially with co-sleeping with our new little Ethiopian Princess and the nights that our 2.5 year old join us too.
Sadly, our bedroom is not big enough! Maybe someday....
oh sarah - I cannot wait to have an Ethiopian princess to cuddle with! enjoy every minute:)
